My preferred 124gr+p

Ive decided on the 124gr+p Federal HST as my carry round in my Walther PDP 4" compact so I fired 200 rounds in one session with no problems. I put this on par with Speers 124gr+p GDHP. At .84cpr when the sale was going I'm happy I stocked up.

Affordable and reliable ammo

I only used 20 rounds, but no misfires, no hang-ups and all the rounds looked pristine. I haven't fired a weapon in about 15 years, so my aim wasn't that great, but all shots made it to the target. Pattern could be covered with a ball cap, so still effective.

Top Notch Defensive Ammo

This is my “go to” self-defense ammo. Excellent penetration and expansion for a 9mm. Accurate and reliable. Sure, it recoils more than 115gr range ammo but even in my Glock 43 it’s not bad. Used by many law enforcement agencies.

I really like this ammo, I carry it every day. You guys are one of few that carry this ammo but the prices are ridiculous. I used to get this for $30 a box.

I don't know if this has been asked already, but I just wanted to make sure that I get the right defense ammunition. Can I use my Beretta 92X Centurion with this. I know its based off the 92fs, but does it make a difference with the shorter barrel? Thank

Unknown 2 years ago

Yes sir, your handgun is also designed to safely fire 9mm +P ammunition. The usual caveat with ovepressure ammo is this: The increased chamber pressure will accelerate wear and tear on a semi-auto's moving parts, so it's best not to train extensively with

Can I use this in my SCCY 9mm

Unknown 2 years ago

Thanks for reaching out Dan! I'm not familiar with every SCCY handgun by heart. I know that the CPX-2 is rated to safely fire 9mm +P (with the usual caveat that overpressure ammo will accelerate wear and tear on the moving parts), but if you have a differ

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

what are the pros and cons of +P ammo?

Unknown 2 years ago

Thanks for reaching out Isaac! I can make it fairly simple. The pros both come from a higher velocity projectile. That includes a flatter trajectory (which can improve accuracy) and greater energy delivery (a harder-hitting projectile is naturally better

Can this ammo be used in a fn 509

Unknown 2 years ago

Yes sir! The FN 509 is designed to safely fire 9mm +P ammunition as well. Just take care that overpressure ammunition will wear out a semi-automatic handgun's moving parts faster. This is of no concern as far as self-defense is concerned, but you wouldn't

Thanks for reaching out Gordon! I'm not sure what Federal's take on selling their law enforcement ammo is, but we will of course sell it to anyone. Happy to hear you snapped up a box!

Thanks for reaching out! I cannot promise exactly when we'll get a certain type of ammunition back in stock. We do update our inventory very often, so I hope you'll check back in again soon!

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Can the MP2.O SHIELD use +P ammo

Unknown 2 years ago

Absolutely, the Shield M2.0 is designed to safely fire 9mm +P ammo. Overpressure ammo like will wear out a semi-automatic handgun's moving parts faster, but that's really not of concern as far as self-defense goes.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Any idea when this might be back in stock??

Unknown 2 years ago

Sorry sir! While we're working to restock this ammo as soon as possible, I can't in all fairness promise just when we'll get it back in stock. I hope in the meantime you might consider this anagologous Speer Gold Dot ammo: luckygunner.com/9mm-124-grain

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Can this ammo be used in a Glock 48 ?

Unknown 2 years ago

Yes sir, all Glock 9mm handguns can safely fire 9mm +P ammunition as well. Just take note that overpressure ammo like this will wear out the moving parts in your handgun faster. Not a problem for self-defense, but less than ideal for range training.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Would you know if this ammo is legal in Pa. specifically Philadelphia Pa.

I just got the Glock 43x & Ruger EC9? Would this be good for self defense carry not range practice?

Unknown 2 years ago

Hello Mia! I'm happy to say that both of your handguns can safely fire 9mm +P ammo. Just take care that "overpressure" ammo like this will wear out the moving parts in a handgun a little faster. That shouldn't concern you as far as self-defense goes, but

Is this brass reloadable?

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Can you use 9mm luger +P in a Glock 43 for self defense ammo.

Unknown 2 years ago

Hi Mark! If a Glock pistol is chambered for 9mm, then it can also safely fire 9mm +P. Just take care that overpressure ammo like this will wear your G43's moving parts out faster. Really this only means you shouldn't train a lot with it, but for self-defe

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Has it been tested in a Kimber micro 9

Unknown 2 years ago

Hi Dennis! Your Micro 9 is rated to fire 9mm +P ammo, and it ought to function correctly with it as well. We haven't tested this ammo in the Micro 9 ourselves. I believe your handgun has a 3.15" barrel, and the one we used for our ballistic gel test has a

How does this ammunition work with CZ 2075 Rami?

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

How would this ammo function out of a PC carbine? Would the 124 grain be preferable or would the 147 grain HST JHP LE be a better option?

Unknown 2 years ago

What a coincidence! Last year we published an article that answers your very question: luckygunner.com/lounge/self-defense-ammo-for-pistol-caliber-carbines. To sum it up they both function well, but offer different ballistics.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Will this ammo work for a Glock 17 and Glock 26?

Unknown 2 years ago

Hi John! All of Glock's 9mm handguns are rated to safely fire 9mm +P ammunition. Overpressure ammo will naturally wear out a handgun a little faster, but for self-defense both the G17 and G26 should function well with this ammo.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Will this ammo work with a Sig Saur P320 M18?

Unknown 2 years ago

SIG's P320 handguns are indeed able to fire 9mm +P ammo. You don't want to wear your handgun out by training with overpressure ammo, naturally, but for self-defense it will do very nicely.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Will this ammo work for a Beretta 92FS?

Unknown 2 years ago

Absolutely, the 92FS is perfectly capable of firing 9mm +P ammunition. You'll likely feel only the tiniest added recoil. Do note that you'll want to avoid training with overpressure ammo, as it will wear your pistol out faster.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Just bought and new to the Glock 43. Will this work just fine? Recommendations for the range and carry. Thanks to you all

Unknown 2 years ago

This ammo would function correctly in your G43. It is 9mm +P ammo, which means it is loaded to a higher pressure to make the bullet go faster. Not all handguns are rated to fire 9mm +P ammo, and it is generally not recommended for target practice because

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Can this for a FMK 9c1 Gen 2

Unknown 2 years ago

Hi Zach! The 9C1 handgun is not designed for +P ammunition. This ammo could damage your handgun – or worse yet, yourself. Please stick to 9mm ammo exclusively! You can check out page 17 of the owner's manual for more info: fmkfirearms.com/downloads

How does 9mm - +P 124 Grain HST JHP - Federal Premium Law Enforcement differ from the non-law-enforcement version of this round?

Unknown 2 years ago

Outside of their packaging the two cartridges are the same!

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Would this be a good round for a Walther PPQ Q4 TAC 9x19?

Unknown 2 years ago

Hi Ryan! The Q4 TAC is rated to fire 9mm +P ammo. The increased pressure will wear the handgun out a little more quickly, though, so it's advisable that you not use it for extended periods target practice.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Can this ammo be used in a Sig P365?

Unknown 2 years ago

Absolutely! SIG's P365 is rated to fire 9mm +P ammo. The heavier chamber pressure will wear out your handgun more quickly, however, so it's advisable that you only use it for self-defense.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Can I use this ammo in a HK VP9SK for self-defense?

Unknown 2 years ago

Hi Walt! The VP9SK is rated for 9mm +P ammunition, and this should make great self-defense ammo for it.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Is this ammo compatible with barrel of Glock 43x (not actually for range use) but for carry?

Unknown 2 years ago

Absolutely! Overpressure ammo will wear out your G43X a little faster, but any Glock chambered for 9mm can handle 9mm +P as well.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

can i use this ammo in a Glock 19 gen 4

Unknown 2 years ago

Absolutely! The G19 can safely handle the extra chamber pressure created by 9mm +P ammo. It will wear out the handgun faster, so while it's great for self-defense you probably wouldn't want to train with it.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Can this ammunition be used in the Glock G26 9mm?

Unknown 2 years ago

Absolutely! Federal loads their overpressure ammo to SAAMI specs, so the G26 is designed to handle this 9mm +P. It'll wear your handgun out a little faster, but since it's self-defense ammo that's kind of a moot point.

Asked by Unknown 2 years ago

Hi there. Can this ammo be safely fired from Glock 26 Gen 3?

Unknown 2 years ago

Absolutely, Charles! I don't believe that Glock expressly specifies that their firearms are rated to fire overpressure ammunition, but the consensus is that they handle 9mm +P loads just fine.
