September 4, 2021Steel case AND steel bullets
Just tried to shoot this at an indoor range. Doesn't pass the magnet test. The case AND the bullet are both steel. :(

August 16, 2021All Rounds Go Bang!
Due to a shortage of brass 300 BLK, I have purchased and shot Wolf 300 rounds. I had no failure to feed, no squibs and no misfires. The Wolf rounds have been reliable.

It works fine, cycles perfectly. Reasonably priced (considering the times).

July 26, 2021Works just fine for target ammo and saves more than some extra wear will cost.
I know people bash steel cased ammo but for me this works 100% of the time and if I wear out a barrel a little sooner than I would would using different projectiles, I've saved enough in ammo to buy two barrels after thousands and thousands of rounds. I do not re-load, so that does not play into my calculus.

Thanks for reaching out Travis! We haven't determined this ammo's muzzle velocity yet, nor has Wolf published that info. However, in general the only subsonic 300 AAC Blackout cartridges have 200+ grain bullets. At 145 grains, this ammo is without questio

Thanks for reaching out Cecil! Berdan primers are not at all corrosive by definition. Some older military surplus ammunition, especially from Russia, very often has both Berdan and corrosive primers – but that's just coincidence. As opposed to a Bo
Is brass better than steel casings? I have a Daniel Defense 300 Blackout with a short barrel. will I have any perceived issues?
Thanks for reaching out Peter! Brass is better than steel because it is more flexible, which conveys three key advantages. 1. Reloadability. Because a brass casing returns to its original dimensions once it is fired, it remains reloadable. A steel casi
How does this cartridge's fire with the steel cartridge's in a Desert Tech MDRX?
Hello Jerry! I'm a great fan of Wolf's ammo, but I'm afraid I haven't got any experience with the MDRX. Wolf is divisive. A lot of people love it; many others report problems. I personally believe your rifle could run this ammo reliably. This fella on
how does full metal jacket differ from regular 300blkout ammo?
Hello Shawne! The full metal jacket (FMJ) is the basic type of bullet you would want for range training, target practice, and plinking. Unless 300 AAC Blackout ammo is specialized for hunting or self-defense, it almost certainly has an FMJ bullet.
