Worth every penny

Shot this out of 24" bull barrel 1/8 twist. Wife and I are consistently shooting in the same holes. Biggest group size was .75" at 100 yards. Best was .24 multiple times. Every gun is different but my 223 loves this ammo and so do I.

Follow up to original review- Disappointed...

I just tried this ammo in my 26" WOA upper and it only shot 2617 fps with an SD 28 from one lot and 2642 fps with an SD 32 from a second lot (10 rounds ea). My hand loads with 24.5gr CFE 223 and 77 SMK in PMC brass shot 2803 fps with an SD of 20 from the same 26" barrel, same day, 77F outside. This ammo is not worth the money and does not provide the advertised performance.

Very dissapointed. Poor muzzle velocity.

Bought 800 rounds of this ammo to use for tactical matches where we occasionally have up to 750 yard shots typical 50yd -600yd). In testing the ammo with a Spike's 1:7 16" LE barreled upper with an Odin adjustable gas block, I only averaged 2440fps with an SD 40 using a magnetospeed over 25 rounds fired. I tried 10 rounds through my daughter's 16" 1:8 PSA upper and averaged 2401fps. read more It was 102F out so I would expect a bit less velocity when it is cooler. It is advertised to produce 2790fps out of a 20" barrel. This is marketing hype B.S. as you only lose 25-50 fps per inch of barrel in .223. I saw another study showing they only got 2450fps from a 16" barrel and I should have believed it. Groups were avg, probably sub moa (had a 12-15mph gusty cross wind so was not really trying). Will try this ammo in my 26" WOA upper next time to see what kind of velocities I can achieve.

This appears to use the same bullet as the Black Hills and IMI OTM 77 Grain rounds. If so, understanding that there are differences between case and powder, what makes one OTM 77 Grain better for self-defense (e.g. MK262), and others better for match or t

Thanks for reaching out Jason! Good question. Black Hills' 5.56x45 Mk 262 cartridge is specifically loaded with a 77 grain Sierra MatchKing, which is custom-made for Black Hills with a cannelure to prevent setback during recoil. (No other MatchKing bullet
