July 26, 2021Explosive performance
Had bout a few boxes for a prairie dog hunt because it’s Called prairie enemy and because their Sierra match kings are done of the best bullets I’ve shot. These are no different, extremely accurate with the addition of rapid expansion in soft critters. Makes it look like you’re using HE rounds on them. Since going to prairie enemy… read more it’s all I use in my Savage Axis 2 precision now. Accuracy is sub MOA, not worried about ricochets and their performance on critters is second to none.

July 26, 2021The Best Overall Round for My Sig Sauer MCX Rattler So Far
Like any product, a persons intended use determines the results. At the height of the riots last year U purchased a Sig MCX Rattler in 5.56. That was about the only close in, last ditch long arm I could locate at the time. So I bought it. Now what? It has only a 5.5†barrel! I tested as much different ammo that I could get my hands on. Chronograph, ballistic… read more gel, reliability. After all the testing, this ammo came out on top FOR THIS GUN. Testing other AR platforms at the same time, longer barrels made for different results. But when you are leaving the barrel after only 5 ½â€Â, the velocity is just on the lower ragged edge even at the muzzle. At 100 yards, almost every other brand was below their capacity to deliver acceptable terminal ballistics. Combine that with GREAT terminal ballistics at across the room to across the street distances, and you have my round of choice for this particular gun.

June 2, 2021Can’t stabilize
I run an AR16 with a 16†bull barrel 1/8 twist. The gun is sub MOA. I bought 300 rounds of this ammo and i can’t get it to stabilize. I called Sierra and they told me this ammo was made for a 1/10 or 1/12 twist. I shoot 55 gr Vmax out of this rifle and stack rounds on top of each other. I put this ammo through a 1/7 rifle and same thing. A twist rate… read more recommendation would be nice. Also is this a flat base bullet or a boat tail?

March 22, 2021Name says it all
For once the Marketing department got it right! these work great on Prairie dog erradication hunts. Accuracy is on par with Sierra Match King bullets but as intended these are able to fragment on small mass critters whereas hollow points and full metal jackets don't have enough mass to expand or tumble in, typically those just make a small puncture and the critter crawls down their… read more hole. with these it looks like a high explosive round went off making for an easy meal for the buzzards circling above. February 20, 2021Best shooting ammo out of my AR-15
I've had a hard time finding ammo that shoots consistently out of my DDM4. With Blitz King-Sierra Prairie I get 1 inch groups at 100 yards consistently.

Would this round work reliably for home defense, my wife is thinking of buying either a ruger 556 or an m&p15 sport 2 but with the ammo shortage we arent even sure we will be able to get some good reliable home defense rounds, which of your 223 or 556 rou
Thanks for reaching out! This ammo will work very well for self-defense with either of those two rifles. I really doubt one will perform better than the other with this ammo, which is high quality and American made. (Sierra is best known for making match
How does this Ammo work in newer mini 14. I know it will fire it I was talking about feed problems. I know mine doesn’t like some of the foreign stuff
Thanks for reaching out Kevin! I expect this ammo should work very well in a Mini-14. Sierra ammunution is made in Sedalia, Missouri, and it is generally regarded to be high quality. Sierra is best known for making match bullets for competition. In my opi
Is this ammo American made?
Yes sir. Sierra was founded in California but now makes all their bullets and loaded ammunition at their factory in Sedalia, Missouri.
I know the AR15 uses .223 and 5.56 ammunition. Just wanted to verify that this is useable for the AR15
Hello Lenroy! If an AR-15 is chambered for 5.56x45, it can fire both 5.56 and 223 Rem. If it is chambered for 223 Rem, it can only fire 223. That makes this ammo a safe bet, and it is indeed optimal for an AR-15. Perfect for varmint hunting, but by no mea
can this be used for personal defense ?
Thanks for reaching out Danny! I for one would certainly not want to get shot with a BlitzKing. That said, this bullet is designed to burst apart very quickly after striking soft tissue, because it is designed for hunting very small animals. As such it ma
