Rifle Ammos Descriptions
9mm - 147 Grain JHP - Winchester Silvertip - 20 Rounds
This 9mm round from Winchester’s Silvertip line of ammunition is really easy on the eyes. If you came here looking for the prettiest pistol cartridge, you’re in luck. But its lustrous sheen isn’t the only reason you’ll benefit from this round’s 147 grain jacketed hollow point bullet. The bullet possesses a deep nose cavity, designed to translate its pounding close range energy into terminal expansion for maximum stopping power. The bullet jacket features an electroless nickel finish – hence its silver color – to reduce fouling and friction within the bore. That jacket’s profile is contoured to promote reliable feeding and streamlined for superior accuracy, and its six notches create fault lines that direct uniform expansion within soft tissue. This heavyweight bullet’s consistent charge of propellant supplies a 1,010 fps muzzle velocity. That’s well below supersonic, and accordingly a little quieter – perfect for a suppressor. Winchester’s new run brass case ought to duck in and out of any handgun’s chamber reliably, and is well worth reloading after you’ve rescued it from the floor!
45 ACP - 230 Grain TMJ - Speer LAWMAN - 50 Rounds
Speer® brought sport shooters and law enforcement the excellence of Lawman over 35 years ago. Back in 1968, the line included various calibers of centerfire handgun ammunition, and quickly earned a reputation as a high-performance and reliable product. Lawman is attractively priced, and the cases are reloadable with clean-burning propellants and reliable CCI primers to complete the package. Total metal jacket (TMJ) is different from full metal jacket (FMJ) due to TMJ bullets having no exposed lead bases, this makes TMJ bullets better suited for firing in indoor ranges since there will be fewer lead particulates floating in the air after firing .
